The Witness Can You Continue Playing After Beating It

The game will save your game before you go to the point of no return so you could just access that file.
But i will say, unless you were a SUPER observant first time player, you can't 100% the game from where you are now. There are a few 'one time only' puzzles.

Care to elaborate on that? I don't want spoilers but I'm wondering what you mean by "one time only" puzzles.

I think there are two puzzles that can be completed only when the barrier in the first house is active. Don't know if there are more.

I want to finish it 100% so I haven't entered any "no return" areas XD.

But did you know about which those are in advance?

No, they're part of a large category of puzzles that most people don't know even exist.

I was just wondering that earlier :/ Yesterday I used a one-time-only puzzle even though I could use a boat

I don't like one time puzzles, I want to be able to go back and do them all

Well, if this is true it sucks. I don't want to go through the game being afraid that I might inadvertently block off parts of it.

It's not true. Yes, there is a one-time puzzle in the game that leads to One of the secret endings , however, since that thing ends the game once you do so, it can't be counted towards your 100% progress.

In other words if you missed that on your first try it's not a problem for still acquiring 100% status. However, even with that, I hope you're prepared for the insane amount of houres it will take.

Apparently someone found a way to reactivate the gate in the starting area, but they're keeping worry about it for now.

Then, DON'T YOU DARE activate that "bridge-crossing-yellow-platform" near the purply-colored-water

I just beat the game and got the 'ending' achievement. It saved the game right before that, and I was able to pick up from there, leave that area, and continue on. So no worries about that, at least.

Why? You can simply move it back.

That's not completely true, if you do what you hinted at in your spoiler tag and then load the save afterwards, you will have a +1 puzzles solved which you won't have otherwise.

Edit: It seems this really is the only one time thing, though (more an easter egg than a puzzle), so I guess there is no need to worry.
